Astragal & Georgian Bars

Astragal Bars are bonded to the cleaned glass surface using 3M VHB acrylic foam tape. Astragal Georgian bars are ideal for a multitude of applications where the nostalgic touch is required. Astragal bars can be fitted to any door or window within the Rehau Tritec range enhancing the look of doors or windows by giving them the traditional Georgian appearance of individual panes, whether in new or old homes. A Georgian Bar is fitted within the cavity of the glass allowing for easier cleaning whilst retaining a classic look and style. Georgian Bars give authenticity to any door or window. They are available in white or woodgrain foils and a variety of colours. With a wide range of bars available, you can choose a shape and configuration to give your home a really individual look.

Cottage bar

The traditional Cottage bar which is an additional horzontal transom bar that retains the cottage look and style.

Leaded windows

As with the Georgian bar, but of an earlier period, lead provided the perfect answer to using very expensive small panes of metal/glass to manufacture.

Modern day decorative lead is easy to clean and allows the use of stains, colours and decorative inserts. The most common designs are diamond and square – often used with colour overlays.

Obscure Collection

For privacy and usually used in bathrooms, wet rooms and lavatories, obscured glazing provides a feature glazing option and privacy without the need for curtains or screens.

Oriel Collection

The more contemporary designs in the Oriel collection allow the homeowner to limit only their imagination in use of obscured glazing in the home. The small office, kitchen and the bedroom are now areas where these styles complement the décor whilst providing privacy screening that won’t reduce natural light into the room.
